Today, Team Canada faces Slovakia in the IIHF World Championship Quarterfinals, and surprisingly, star forward Connor Bedard has been demoted.

Connor Bedard, known as one of the best young players in the world, showcased his immense talent with the Chicago Blackhawks this season. However, he has struggled at this year's IIHF World Championship, leading to his demotion to the team's 13th forward.
Connor Bedard is listed as Canada's 13th forward for today's QF vs Slovakia. He played 8:08 in Canada's last Preliminary Round game vs Czechia.
