Connor Bedard and Team Canada had a tough time at the World Championship, and now there's footage showing Bedard involved in a spat with a cameraman.
Bedard has been a big name in hockey for years and was expected to shine at the World Championship in Prague. However, despite being one of Canada's top players, he struggled to get enough time on the ice. In a crucial shootout game, Bedard was Canada's only scorer, but they still lost in the semifinals.
Adding to his frustrations, video clips surfaced of Bedard covering a camera with his glove after Canada's loss to Switzerland in the semifinals. Things didn't improve for him in the Bronze medal game against Sweden, where Canada ended up without a medal.
For the first time since 2014, both Canada AND USA will not medal at the #MensWorlds, as Sweden wins 4-2 over Canada to win bronze.
Bedard's playtime in the tournament was minimal, with only 10 minutes on the ice during the Bronze medal game. This wraps up his season, and he'll now focus on preparing for the 2024-25 campaign, aiming to build on his impressive rookie year.
