One of the most notable trades involved the Los Angeles Kings, who sent their franchise goaltender, Jonathan Quick, to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Jonas Korpisalo and Vladislav Gavrikov.
What made this trade even more interesting was the inclusion of a conditional first-round pick, along with a third-round pick, from the Blue Jackets. If the Kings do not qualify for the 2023 playoffs, CBJ will instead receive: 2023 2nd round pick and 2024 2nd round pick
