Starting in September, fans can watch Dallas Stars games for free on a new streaming service, costing Gary Bettman millions in revenue.

The Stars will stream all their games on VICTORY+, a new free service for fans in North Texas. This move deals a significant blow to Bettman's expected pay-per-view revenue.
The Dallas Stars have launched a free in-market streaming service for fans called Victory+. It's a 7-year deal with A Parent Media Co. Again, if you live in the Stars TV market it is now free to watch the team.
Starting in September, fans in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas can download the app and watch for free on all streaming platforms. This large area means Bettman will lose out on significant streaming and television revenue, and he is reportedly furious.
The future has arrived! Starting this fall, #TexasHockey fans can stream Stars games for FREE on @victoryplustv! 📺

The Dallas Stars might spark a trend of teams opting for free streaming services to win fans and boost game interest. If other teams follow, Bettman and the league could lose millions, if not billions, in revenue!
