Rumors have been swirling about a possible Nikolaj Ehlers departure from the Winnipeg Jets recently.
Multiple reports suggest the Carolina Hurricanes are the front-runners for Ehlers after Jake Guentzel bolted for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Nikolaj Ehlers will be a UFA next year, unless he signs a new deal. And I'm really curious about his future. Ehlers has been an elite offensive winger at 5-on-5 since ~2019. I think Winnipeg can't afford to lose him for nothing next year.
It's possible the deal can be closed shortly.
