Detroit Red Wings Forward David Perron Receives Major Suspension From NHL Player Safety Department

Red Wings forward David Perron has officially been suspended for 6 games by the NHL Player Safety Department for his vicious crosscheck to the head of Ottawa Senators defenseman Artem Zub.

If Perron chooses to appeal, he would go first to Commissioner Bettman and then to an independent arbitrator.
David Perron forfeits $148,437.48 in salary for his six-game suspension.

It will be interesting to see if David Perron decides to appeal the suspension.
