The Edmonton Oilers 2023-24 season goes from bad to worse with a tough 5-2 loss on Saturday night, and it now appears that frustrations are beginning to mount within the locker room.

A tough start

While the team have dealt with a Connor McDavid injury, their star power should be able to help them overcome their struggles, but unfortunately, they just can't beat anyone at the moment.
The start in 2022-23 was slow, and the team managed to turn it around and make a solid playoff push, but this season, things appear different, and the remarks of Connor McDavid show exactly that.

Frustration growing

With their struggles at the blue line and in net, the team just haven't been able to overcome the small mistakes that continue to build up, and that's exactly how their captain put it.
it's just d**** by 1000 cuts, you know, that's what it feels like. One little mistake and it costs us, another little mistake and it snowballs. Like I said, it's tough to chase games
With 72 games to go, there's plenty of time for Edmonton to turn things around, but until they make sweeping changes in either of those units, nothing appears imminent, so this type of response from McDavid should cause plenty of fear for Oilers fans.
