Through five games, the Edmonton Oilers have three points, sitting at 1-3-1, and with a tough schedule coming up and the Heritage Classic, it's time for them to start turning it around.
Unfortunately, after the Oilers 3-2 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets, the team announced a terrible injury update on Connor McDavid, as he suffered an upper body injury late in the loss.
This will reportedly keep him out for between one and two weeks, meaning he'll miss the Heritage Classic and some key games, and without him, this could be a defining stretch of their season.
While it's come with less fan fare, McDavid has a fantastic 8 points in five games this year, and now, he'll be rushing to get back to his team as soon as he can, as they look to hang out and improve without him in the lineup.
