The Edmonton Oilers likely won't win this year's Stanley Cup, but they know how to get there. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have now confirmed their commitment to the team.
While it might be easy for McDavid and Draisaitl to leave Edmonton—if Wayne Gretzky could do it, anyone can—they've both expressed a desire to stay long-term:

According to Bob Stauffer, the Oilers and Draisaitl have already begun extension discussions, and Draisaitl wants to be locked up long-term, not like the Auston Matthews deal in Toronto.
