After signing his massive extension with the Edmonton Oilers, star forward Leon Draisaitl has reportedly purchased a house next to fellow teammate Connor McDavid.
In today's episode of Elliotte Friedman's 32 Thoughts podcast, he shared some exciting news for Edmonton Oilers fans. Friedman revealed that Oilers star Leon Draisaitl recently bought a house right next to his teammate and close friend, Connor McDavid.
McDavid and his wife live in a stunning home in Edmonton's Laurier Heights, known as one of the city's most beautiful neighborhoods. Now, Draisaitl has joined them in the same area after purchasing his own home.
After signing his huge 8-year, $14 million contract extension, Draisaitl is set financially for years to come. While no photos of the new house have been shared yet, fans are eagerly waiting to see it. This move highlights the strong bond between Draisaitl and McDavid, with Friedman even mentioning that the two are a "package deal." Many believe this points to McDavid eventually re-signing with the Oilers as well.
