Vancouver Canucks super fans "The Green Men" are reportedly at the center of a complaint filed by the Edmonton Oilers with the NHL.
The Edmonton Oilers are reportedly unhappy with the way some of their players were treated at Rogers Arena, particularly by the Green Men. According to reports, the Oilers filed a complaint with the NHL about this well-known duo among hockey fans.
Originally intended as a one-time gimmick, the Green Men were present for Game 1 of the second-round series between the Oilers and Canucks. They tried to distract Oilers players in the penalty box, holding signs and getting as close as possible.

The Daily Hive reported that the Oilers' complaint focused on a specific sign aimed at Evander Kane, referencing his past gambling issues. The Green Men themselves confirmed to The Daily Hive that security had told them not to use that sign again.
Rick Dhaliwal reported that the complaint led to the Green Men being barred from further games in Round 2, although they might be allowed back in Round 3 if the Canucks advance.
"We were told the Edmonton Oilers complained to the NHL in the last round about the Green Men because the Green Men had an Evander Kane sign about gambling. The Green Men were then told you couldn't go to any more games in Round 2, maybe in Round 3."
The Green Men likely crossed a line by getting too personal with their antics. It is unclear if Kane himself requested the complaint or if it was a team decision.
