Hockey legend Roberto Luongo retired in 2019. After being inducted in the Hockey Hall of Fame last year, he joined the Florida Panthers front office.
His new functions doesn't mean he lost his passion for playing the game. At 44 years old, he's simply too old to play in the NHL. However, a new development sparked comeback rumors for the legendary goalie from Montreal.
Major Comeback Rumors for Roberto Luongo
In a recent video shared on X by Grady Sas, Roberto Luongo is spotted donning his distinctive All-Star Game goaltender equipment while taking to the ice during a practice session with the Florida Panthers. The gear pays homage to his former teams, the Vancouver Canucks and the Florida Panthers.

Taking a Look Back at Luongo's Legendary Career

For Luongo, it all started in 1997, when he was drafted 4th overall by the Islanders. In his illustrous career, he played 1044 games for the New York Islanders, Vancouver Canucks and the Florida Panthers.
He won many awards in his career: the Mark Messier Leadership Award, the William M. Jennings Trophy, two Olympic goal medals and many more in the Juniors.
