The New York Rangers have been a fantastic team for a number of years, and while the likes of Artemi Panarin, Igor Shesterkin, Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider get plenty of attention, defenseman Adam Fox is just as crucial in this teams success.
Unfortunately, the team will now have to deal without their defensive leader for quite some time, as the team have placed Adam Fox on Long Term Injured Reserve following the injury suffered in Thursday's win over the Carolina Hurricanes.
The 25-year old was off to another great start with 3 goals and 11 points through their first 10 games of the season, and with the East being so stacked, this injury could change the trajectory of their season.
In his place, the Rangers have recalled Louis Domingue, but with the impact Fox has, he won't be able to replicate that, so the team will be hoping the rest of this deep blue line core can pick up the slack in the meantime.
