"Rumors about the next head coach for the New York Rangers have been swirling over the past few days, and one potential candidate is becoming increasingly likely.

A Significant Shift in New York's Head Coach Hunt

Despite initial beliefs that Peter Laviolette and Patrick Roy were the prime contenders for the role, it appears another candidate has entered the fray with strong chances of securing the job.
As reported by John Lazarus on Twitter:
It's no longer a secret, but from what I've heard, it sounds like things have moved in a very positive direction between #NYR and John Hynes."
Hynes has nearly ten years of experience as a head coach in the NHL. After his dismissal from the Predators in favor of Andrew Brunette, he's now available and it seems increasingly likely he'll land a role in the Big Apple.
