Chris Kreider took a moment to pay tribute to Montreal Canadiens coach Martin St. Louis, but he did it in a playful way.
At a charity event called Shoulder Check Showcase, featuring some big-name former and current NHL players, Chris Kreider and Martin St. Louis were among the participants.
During the event, New York Rangers star forward Chris Kreider pulled off an impressive move in the shootout, but also took the opportunity to mock St. Louis after scoring.
St. Louis was coaching Kreider's opponents, and after Kreider scored, he looked straight at the bench, right at St. Louis, and made a gesture towards him.
One of the funnier moments of last night, Chris Kreider was pointing to Martin St. Louis who was the coach of the White team.
That was one of St. Louis go-to shootout moves.
Kreider was imitating a move that St. Louis used to do, and he thought it would be funny to poke fun at him in front of everyone at the game.
This was a truly funny moment between a pair of opponents who used to be teammates with the Rangers about a decade ago. Kreider's playful gesture put a lot of smiles on the faces of people in attendance and those watching at home.
