Tortorella Blacklists Reporter That Started Rumor Regarding Gauthier Trade
The Flyers head coach revealed in a press conference today that the reporter who started rumors about the Gauthier trade has officially been blacklisted by the team. While taking questions he identified the reporter that was involved in the rumors and declined to answer his question.

The coach was clearly ticked off by the rumors that Kevin Hayes encouraged Gauthier to not sign with the Flyers. He repeatedly cursed at the reporter while noting that what he said will have an impact on Hayes for the rest of his life.

Gauthier Confirms Hayes Had Nothing To Do With Trade Request
Tortorella was backed up by the former Flyers prospect in a recent interview. Gauthier himself confirmed that the former Flyer had nothing to do with him not wanting to play for the Flyers.
«I would like to especially say that he had zero, zero conflict with anything that had to do with the trade.»
All of this would seem to indicate that the reporter involved in this rumor was wrong, if not making things up entirely. That being said, we may never know the full truth regarding this situation.
