The Pittsburgh Penguins have made a significant announcement regarding Jaromir Jagr.

Penguins Set to Honor Jagr by Retiring His Jersey

The Penguins have announced their plan to retire Jaromir Jagr's jersey, elevating it to the rafters of the PPG Paints Arena on February 18th, 2024.

Jagr will be the first player still active in his career to receive this honor from a former team.

"The only NHL player to have their jersey retired while still playing professional hockey, only fitting it's Jaromir Jagr 🫡

On February 18th 2024 against LA he'll become the 3rd Penguin to be lifted to the rafters, along with Mario Lemieux and Michel Briere"

Jagr will become the first active player to have his number retired by his former team.
