Shane Wright suffers gruesome playoff injury following vicious hit

Seattle Kraken top prospect Shane Wright has unfortunately suffered a horrible injury following a late dirty hit from Hayden Hodgson.

Last night, Shane Wright and the Coachella Valley Firebirds played an important playoff game against the Ontario Reign in the Pacific Division finals of the Calder Cup Playoffs. Unfortunately, Shane Wright suffered a terrible injury from a big hit by Ontario Reign forward Hayden Hodgson.

Before his injury, Wright had one of the best performances of his pro career, scoring three points. His efforts helped the Firebirds take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Now, the Seattle Kraken and Coachella Valley Firebirds are waiting to see how Shane Wright recovers from the hit. If Wright is unable to play, it would be another frustrating setback for the young prospect.
