The waiting is finally over for many Leafs fans as the team announced today that they will officially change their goal song for the upcoming season.

Leafs Say Goodbye To Hall & Oates

"You Make My Dreams" has been a staple of Maple Leafs hockey in recent years but the Hall & Oates hit has finally been retired by the organization, per reports.

"Hall and Oates are out. Leafs confirm they will change goal song ‘Dreams' to a selection of three or four tunes based on Original Six games, Next Generation, Throwback Thursdays and a regular season standard to be unveiled tonight."

It sounds like there is going to be multiple goal songs played at special games such as when an original six team is visiting but it is unclear what 'Next Generation' or 'Throwback Thursdays' are going to sound like. Regardless, many Leafs fans will be relieved to hear a new song being played on repeat at Scotiabank Arena.
