Brad Treliving Could Be Forced To Trade Untouchable Asset

The Toronto Maple Leafs, gaining momentum recently, face crucial decisions as the trade deadline approaches. Despite categorizing top prospect Fraser Minten as 'untouchable,' recent reports suggest teams in talks with Toronto are expressing interest in Minten. To bolster their roster, the Maple Leafs might need to reconsider their stance on the 19-year-old forward.

Although Minten has played only four NHL games without registering a point, his potential is evident. With an impressive record of 9 goals and 26 points in 21 games in the WHL this season (split between Kamloops and Saskatoon), Minten could become a significant part of the Maple Leafs core. While Toronto would ideally like him to join the forward lineup soon, the right deal may require considering Minten as a trade asset.
For Toronto General Manager Brad Treliving, parting with Minten would demand a substantial return, likely involving a prominent player. The decision hinges on securing the right deal that aligns with the team's strategic goals.
Do you think the Leafs should trade Minten to bolster their lineup?
