It's well-known among hockey enthusiasts that when a player scores three goals in one game-a "hat trick"-fans celebrate by tossing their hats onto the rink. However, during one particular game, a Toronto Maple Leafs fan decided to deviate from tradition with a unique addition to the ice.
Matthews Gets Surprise For Hat Trick
As Auston Matthews of the Maple Leafs achieved his third hat trick of the season at Scotiabank Arena, the usual sea of hats was joined by an unexpected item: a bra.
The arena crew member tasked with retrieving the unusual object appeared less than thrilled about his job that day. Despite Matthews' notable performance, the Leafs suffered a 6-4 loss, in a turn of events that seemed all too familiar for their fans.
