For the second time this season, Toronto Maple Leafs' goaltender Ilya Samsonov found himself unable to complete an entire game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and his frustration was palpable after being replaced.

During Monday night's game, the Lightning scored four goals within the first 15 minutes, prompting head coach Sheldon Keefe to substitute Samsonov by

As Samsonov exited the ice, he ripped off his mask and angrily tossed it onto the bench.
Tampa Bay Lightning's Last Playoff Exit at the Hands of the Maple Leafs Still Lingers
Samsonov had previously faced Tampa Bay on October 21st and was also pulled after conceding three goals in less than 14 minutes of play.
In that game,
Nikita Kucherov scored two goals against Samsonov and assisted on another. On Monday night, Lightning forwards added two more goals against Samsonov, with Kucherov contributing assists for the other two goals scored against him.
Kucherov's remarkable performance has now reached nine goals and 11 assists in the first 12 games of the season, solidifying his status as the top scorer for Tampa Bay with 20 points.
