The trash talk started before this meeting of two Original Six teams, and unsurprisingly, the physical meetings on the ice have been just as brutal.
What's also unsurprising is that Bruins captain Brad Marchand has once again been involved in a dirty play, and this time, it's resulted in the injury of defenseman Timothy Liljegren.
During the game, Marchand and Liljegren were chasing the puck, only for Marchand to slew foot the young defenseman, causing him to come crashing into the boards.
That resulted in an injury, but somehow, not a penalty for Toronto, and now, late in the first, it's getting chippy between Marchand and enforcer Ryan Reaves.
With plenty of time left in this matchup, there's bound to be retaliation, and after yet another incident involving the teams captain, the NHL may be forced to step in and take some type of action.
