Auston Matthews absent from practice for the Maple Leafs
Toronto Maple Leafs star forward Auston Matthews is reportedly not at practice this morning ahead of tonight's big matchup against Alex Ovechkin the Washington Capitals.
The Leafs are facing more bad luck as another player is missing from practice today. We don't know why yet, but hopefully, it's just for maintenance. Morgan Rielly, who was supposed to return to the lineup after missing the last game against the New Jersey Devils, is also missing from practice today.

Matthews has been performing exceptionally well this year and was recently honored as the 2nd star of the week. Losing him for any length of time would be a huge setback for the Leafs, especially with the playoffs approaching.
Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe will give us an update shortly.
