David Ayres, zamboni driver who beat the Leafs in 2019, signs surprising new contract

Ayres became a sensation during the 2019-20 season when, as a Toronto Maple Leafs zamboni driver, he stepped in as the emergency goalie for the Carolina Hurricanes. That night he stopped 8 of 10 shots helping Carolina defeat the Maple Leafs. His performance earned him an unforgettable reaction from the team & the hockey world.
