David Perron, who played under Craig Berube with the St. Louis Blues, made a significant revelation about the coach's meeting with Mitch Marner on a podcast.
Recently, a photo of Marner and Berube having coffee together in Etobicoke went viral on social media:
"Marner and Berube spotted having coffee this morning in Etobicoke 🤪🤪"
Leafs fans were thrilled to see this, as it shows that even though Marner's future with the team is uncertain, coach Berube is making an effort to build a relationship with his star player.
David Perron, now with the Detroit Red Wings, shared his insights on a podcast, which Leafs fans appreciated since he played under Berube for a few seasons in St. Louis.
"He wants to create a partnership with each player, and that's what he did in St. Louis with us."
