The Detroit Red Wings are currently facing a challenge with too many defensemen, which has led to Simon Edvinsson, a promising young player, spending most of his time with their AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Friedman Links Justin Holl Back To Toronto
Justin Holl, a veteran defenseman signed by Detroit in the offseason, has seen limited action, playing only 35 games and not appearing in over a month.
There's speculation that the Toronto Maple Leafs might be interested in bringing Holl back. On a recent "32 Thoughts" podcast, Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek discussed the possibility, with Friedman suggesting that Toronto, in need of right-shot defensemen, could consider Holl, to which Marek agreed.
"Toronto is looking for right-shot defenseman, you know who's available," asked Friedman, to which Marek replied, "Justin Holl." Friedman responded with a simple "yup".
Holl signed a three-year contract with Detroit worth $3.4 million per season but hasn't played in a game for over a month. Leafs fans, what are your thoughts on potentially reuniting with Holl?
