What was really said by Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube during last night's timeout against the Los Angeles Kings has been revealed.

Craig Berube who is known for his no nonsense coaching style is already making waves as the new head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Last night despite leading the Los Angeles Kings 5-1 in the third period Berube called a timeout after a goal by Alex Turcotte who cut the lead to 5-2. Unhappy with the team's performance on the ice, he decided to lay down the law, even with a comfortable lead.
In a fiery timeout Berube was caught on camera giving his team a blunt message.
"Let's go to work. Gain the offensive zone and go to f--king work. Let's wake the f--k up!"
The team responded well to Berube's words by quickly securing a 6-2 victory. A big part of the win came from the strong play of the Leafs new second line of Max Domi, Bobby McMann & William Nylander.
Berube has a reputation for keeping players accountable & that was evident from day one of training camp when he banned music during drills which is something his predecessor Sheldon Keefe had allowed. His straightforward approach while tough has already started to shape the team's mentality.
Craig Berube's leadership style might be a little intense but it's clear he's here to push the Leafs to their full potential. Fans can expect more of these motivational moments as the season progresses with Berube demanding nothing but the best from his players no matter what the score is.
