Several Toronto Maple Leafs players have been involved in trade rumors this summer, but the latest one might be the biggest blockbuster of all.

According to @CapWages on X, there's a potential trade that could send Mitch Marner of the Leafs to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Charlie McAvoy. This one-for-one trade could significantly benefit both teams.
To celebrate our 8000th (‼️) follower, we decided to go full B̶e̶a̶s̶t̶M̶o̶d̶e̶ GM Mode and show the @MapleLeafs how to win the 🏆 this year.

Someone send the plan to Brad🌲(he's not one of the 8000). Or just check out our improved GM Mode and send your own team.
The Leafs have tremendous offensive firepower but lack some skill on the back end. Toronto could fill Marner's spot with other skilled players in their lineup, and adding McAvoy on defense could make a significant difference for them.
However, the rivalry between the two teams might prevent this trade from happening. The Bruins lost some key players this off-season, and many experts predict a drop in points for the team. Adding a player like Marner could help, but the Bruins value McAvoy's stability on defense, making it unlikely they would trade him.
It's possible that Marner will be traded if the Leafs can't agree on a contract extension, but it's highly unlikely that the return will be Charlie McAvoy.
