Hockey is rich with traditions, and the Toronto Maple Leafs have had several goal songs throughout the years, including one controversial choice that Max Domi isn't a fan of.

Goal songs have become a hot topic in hockey, especially among fans. For the Maple Leafs, one of the most debated songs was Hall & Oates' You Make My Dreams, which played at the Scotiabank Arena every time the team scored. The Leafs recently decided to change it, keeping things fresh, and it seems at least one player is happy about it.
In a TSN video, where Leafs players were asked to guess goal horns from different NHL teams, Max Domi was asked about the Hall & Oates song. His response was blunt:
«Hall & Oates was terrible the worst. Thank God we switched that one.»
It's unclear why Domi disliked the song so much, but he didn't hold back his opinion, calling it "just terrible." While some fans defended the song, many others agreed with him in the comments.
Like Domi, many fans are excited about the change. Goal songs are meant to pump up the crowd, and this song didn't seem to match the energy the team wanted. With players like Auston Matthews scoring often, the goal song plays frequently, so Domi is hoping that the new song will be an improvement.
