Mitch Marner is reportedly very likely to be traded this offseason, with five teams emerging as frontrunners for the Toronto Maple Leafs winger.

Insider Frank Seravalli recently discussed Marner's future, fueling trade rumors and suggesting that Marner's chances of returning to the Leafs are very slim.
The odds of Mitch Marner returning next year as a Leaf feel as low as 5%.

"I think there's a five percent chance or maybe even less that he'll be a Leaf next season."

The five teams that have emerged as contenders for Marner are the Anaheim Ducks, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Utah Coyotes.

These teams are in various positions in the league standings. The Ducks and Blackhawks are bottom three teams, the Coyotes are a bottom seven team, the Penguins barely missed the playoffs, and the Islanders just made it into the playoffs.
Marner would undoubtedly improve any of these teams, potentially elevating players like Trevor Zegras in Anaheim, Connor Bedard in Chicago, Mat Barzal in New York, Sidney Crosby in Pittsburgh, or Clayton Keller in Utah.
