The Toronto Maple Leafs have often found themselves on the losing side when facing the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and even star forward William Nylander has come to terms with it.

Amazon's highly anticipated show Faceoff: Inside the NHL has just been released, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the league. In the first episode the focus is on the rivalry between the Bruins & Maple Leafs especially after their recent playoff matchup as well as the close friendship between star forwards William Nylander & David Pastrnak.
The episode revisits their first-round series last season, where the Maple Leafs once again fell short against the Bruins. During a conversation between the two players Nylander candidly acknowledged the rivalry by saying:
«Yeah, that's because you always beat us. Every time we've lost, it has been so [awful]»
The episode offered a deep look into the emotions and intensity surrounding the playoffs and gave fans a chance to see Nylander's passion firsthand. It also showed his full comments on the bench that gained attention during the series highlighting his hunger to end the Maple Leafs 57 year Stanley Cup drought.
Despite their best efforts the Maple Leafs suffered another heartbreaking loss in Game 7 leaving both the players & fans devastated. Nylander's comments make it clear that he & the team are determined to break the streak & succeed this upcoming season.
