Today, it was revealed that William Nylander has been diagnosed with severe migraines accompanied by symptoms resembling those of a concussion.

While these symptoms may not seem severe on their own, a previous case involving Nolan Patrick highlights that they could potentially be career-threatening.

The mention of migraines triggers concern among fans, especially in light of Nolan Patrick's unfortunate situation. Patrick, who was selected second overall by the Philadelphia Flyers, struggled with concussions and migraines, ultimately leading to the end of his playing career. Fans are now drawing comparisons between Nylander and Patrick's situations.

According to multiple sources,
William Nylander's absence from the Toronto lineup has to do with a migraine so severe that team doctors tested to see if he suffered a concussion. One of the reasons for the secrecy around his situation is that an actual diagnosis has been hard to come by, whether it is a migraine, a concussion or something else that could affect that area.

While every situation is unique, recent parallels between Nylander's situation and Patrick's have understandably raised concerns among fans. Hopefully, Nylander will receive positive updates soon and return to the superstar form he displayed earlier in the season.
