Spencer Martin, a former goaltender for the Vancouver Canucks, has been claimed off waivers by an eastern conference team.

It was just announced by insider Elliotte Friedman that Spencer Martin has been claimed off waivers.

Martin will now look to compete for a backup role in Columbus. Wide speculation was that if he fell to Tampa, they would have claimed him as a Vasilevskiy replacement.
