To say that the Vancouver Canucks have had a disappointing season would be an understatement. After a promising performance last season under Bruce Boudreau, where they finished at a 100 point pace, the team had a dismal start to this season, which triggered a downward spiral.

Bo Horvat, who was set to become an Unrestricted Free Agent at the end of this season, did not receive a contract offer from the Canucks that he believed was fair. As a result, the team was forced to trade him to the New York Islanders in exchange for a first-round pick, Anthony Beauvillier, and prospect Aatu Raty.

Although Horvat has only scored 7 goals and 15 points in 28 games since joining the Islanders, which is significantly lower than the 31 goals and 54 points in 49 games he had in Vancouver at the start of the year, but he is enjoying being part of a team that is in contention for a playoff spot. In a sharp jab at his former team and its fan base, he expressed his satisfaction with his current situation.

It's a lot better than Vancouver, I'll tell you that for free.
