Capitals Considered Relocation, but D.C. Mayor's Move May Keep Them Home
The Mayor of D.C has made a significant announcement, pledging to pay for the renovation of the existing Capitals' arena.
"And, on the night news breaks about a press conference announcing the Capitals plan to move to Virginia - Washington DC mayor announces support for $500 million in renovations to their current home Capital One Arena."
This proposed plan reveals a substantial $500 million investment in renovating the Capital One Arena over a three-year period, with a commitment to extend the lease agreement until 2052.
It seems that the Mayor of D.C is determined to do whatever it takes to keep the Washington Capitals in D.C.
