Alexander Ovechkin KICKED OUT of the game

The Washington Capitals, one of the top teams in the NHL, have struggled through a very disappointing season marked by a string of injuries. Their star players like Nicklas Backstrom, Tom Wilson, TJ Oshie, and John Carlson have all been sidelined for extended periods, leaving the team struggling to maintain any consistency. Unfortunately, the team has only managed to play three games this season with a full, healthy lineup, which has undoubtedly had an impact on their performance.

Today, the Capitals were hosting the New York Rangers with the hopes of keeping their slim playoff chances alive. However, it was not their day, as the Rangers dominated the game, ending with a one-sided 5-2 scoreline.

Late in the third period, Alexander Ovechkin, the Capitals' captain and star player, took a hard hit from Rangers player Barclay Goodrow. The hit seemed to upset Ovechkin, who then went after Goodrow for the rest of the shift.

Unfortunately, things quickly spiraled out of control, with two fights breaking out as Ovechkin made his way to the penalty box. To make matters worse, Ovechkin received a game misconduct for mocking the referee, resulting in his ejection from the game.

Overall, it was a disappointing day for the Capitals, who not only lost the game but also saw their captain and leading scorer ejected from the game:
