Chaos Erupts During Ottawa Senators And Florida Panthers Game

In a tension filled match, the Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers were involved in major brawls, resulting in a combined 167 penalty minutes during the Panthers' 5-0 victory.

It all began at the end of the second period when Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk and Senators goalie Jonas Korpisalo exchanged words, leading to unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for Tkachuk and Travis Hamonic.

The intensity escalated in the third period when Senators forward Zack MacEwen received a five-minute match penalty for a hit to Tkachuk's head. A subsequent fight between Tkachuk and Senators defenseman Jake Sanderson added fuel to the fire. The game descended into chaos, featuring multiple penalties, a line brawl, and 10-minute misconducts for several players.

This isn't the first time these teams have clashed in a penalty filled game, as a similar scenario unfolded in April of the previous season, where they combined for 166 penalty minutes in a previous encounter won by the Panthers.
