Thanks to an open mic, we got a glimpse into the light-hearted banter that happens between referees and players on the ice.
It's no secret that the NHL has its share of amusing interactions between officials and players, and this recent exchange is definitely one for the books!
During a match between the Sabres and the Devils, Connor Clifton was ejected the ice for a hit on Nico Hischier's head.
In the ensuing chaos after the hit, a referee humorously cautioned a player.
