In a must-watch video, a Toronto Maple Leafs enforcer made headlines by confronting a former AHL teammate during a Marlies game due to an excessive celebration.

Clifford Snaps At Former Teammate Duszak

During a heated matchup between the Toronto Marlies and the Springfield Thunderbirds, tensions rose when former Marlie Joseph Duszak scored a crucial goal late in the third period. Following his goal, Duszak celebrated near the Marlies bench and exchanged words with his former team.

This sparked immediate action from tough guy Kyle Clifford, who wasted no time after the ensuing faceoff to chase down Duszak and engage in a physical altercation over the celebration.

The video clearly shows Duszak opting to avoid the fight with Clifford, dropping to the ice before punches were thrown.

Reports surfaced on social media suggesting underlying tension between Duszak and the Marlies, dating back to the 2021-22 season when Duszak was reportedly unhappy with his playing time, particularly during a crucial game that led to the team missing the playoffs.

There's a rough history between Duszak and the Marlies.

The Marlies lost the last game of 21-22 and as a result missed the playoffs. Duszak didn't play. There was talk about him being upset about playing 4RW rather than D. Crocker says here he straight up bailed on the team

While Clifford's reaction might have been excessive, it's clear there was some lingering animosity between Duszak and his former team, potentially fueling the confrontation.
