In shocking news, a Swiss league player has been officially suspended for doing the unthinkable to a referee.

Tobias Fohrler Suspended For Punching Referee In The Face

This all happened during the match between HC Ambri-Piotta and HC Ajoie, Fohrler got into a scuffle with Eric Gélinas and ended up punching linesman Sandro Gurtner. Fohrler has been suspended for two games as a consequence of his actions.

While it may appear that Fohrler accidentally struck the referee while trying to reach his opponent, some believe that even an unintentional punch should result in a more severe punishment than just two games.

Do you think the suspension is fair?
