BREAKING: Tampa Bay Lighting Make A Major Announcement On Andrei Vasilevskiy

Today during a press conference Jon Cooper gave an update on Andrei Vasilevskiy's recovery from surgery. Cooper was enthusiastic about the progress and even gave a timeline for when we might see Vasilevskiy return.

The Lightning can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that their franchise centerpiece is just around the corner from being back. In the meantime, Jonas Johansson will continue to fill the gaps and keep the Lightning in the playoff race.

Once Vasilevskiy returns it will be fascinating to see how the two goalies split games. Vasilevskiy is notorious for playing a ton of games each season.

With Johansson playing well and the Lightning wanting to be cautious a more traditional split could be in order.
