In breaking news, former WCHA champion has been officially placed on the waiver wire.
Calgary Flames Officially Place Walker Duehr On Waivers
According to insider Chris Johnston, the Calgary Flames have made a move placing sophomore forward Walker Duehr on the waiver wire.
Placed on NHL waivers today: Walker Duehr (CGY).
Last season, Duehr was a regular on the fourth line, but he's faced challenges getting into the lineup this season due to a slow start in 2023-24. The 26-year-old has recorded four points, 12 shots on net, and 25 hits in 19 appearances so far.
While he stepped in for Jonathan Huberdeau (illness) in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime victory against the Coyotes, Duehr's opportunity for more consistent playing time might hinge on displacing either Dillon Dube or A.J. Greer.
Do you think he will get claimed?
