The Pittsburgh Penguins brought in a depth addition to their forward group, claiming Jansen Harkins off Waivers from the Winnipeg Jets, according to Sportsnet Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman.

In 22 Games for the Jets this season, Harkins had 3 Goals in 5 Games, but shined as an offensive talent in the AHL, passing the PPG mark with a 50 Point campaign in just 44 Games, with an equal 25 Goal and Assist tally.
Harkins, 26, has played 4 seasons, his entire NHL career, with the Jets, debuting in the 2019-20 Season, having played 154 Career Games with the team. Harkins was a 2nd Round Pick of the Jets pack in 2015.
Harkins has a 850k Cap Hit until the 2023-24 season, having signed a two-year, $1.7M extension last year with Winnipeg.
