Chris Johnston informs that, effective January 1st, the German Ice Hockey League will mandate the use of neck guards.
"The German Ice Hockey League is mandating cut-resistant neck protection be worn by all players starting Jan. 1, following a unanimous vote from the sports directors of the league's 14 clubs."
