In a thrilling matchup, the Colorado Avalanche managed to secure a 6-4 victory over the Seattle Kraken, taking a 2-1 series lead in their playoff series. Notably, this game marked the first playoff game ever played at the Climate Pledge Arena, and the Avalanche managed to secure the win despite missing a key player in their lineup.

Forward Valerie Nichushkin was notably absent from the Avalanche's lineup, leaving a noticeable hole in their offensive play. Reports indicate that Nichushkin left the team hotel in the middle of the night with security and has not returned since. It remains unclear why Nichushkin left and what his future status with the team will be.
Things floating around twitter re: Nichushkin

- Could be an indefinite leave but he could be back for Game 4
- Apparently left team hotel for the Airport with a security team
- No longer in Seattle
- Agent nor team will explain further

Very strange, hope everything is ok

His agent was asked about his absence, which he responded:
