You won't believe how a fan attempted to save his team from suffering a blowout loss last night.
Fan Attempts To Save His Team From Blowout Loss During NCAA Game
It was during an NCAA game between Boston University and Merrimack College. BU was up 3-0 late in the second period before the unthinkable happened.

BU's twitter account joked that it must have been a Merrimack fan that pulled the alarm since their team was down big to the Hockey East titan.
sounds like someone pulled the fire alarm (we're up 3-0 so can't blame them). we'll play the final 1:49 of the second period shortly, take a 2:00 break, then play the third period.
Unfortunately for the fan, the fire alarm wasn't enough to save his team and Boston University went onto win the game 4-1. So while the fan was searching for an assist, his plan was clearly not very well thought out.
