Bergeron's skills on the ice are undeniable as he excels in both offensive and defensive zones. He consistently puts up points for his team while also playing an integral role in their defensive strategy. Despite his competitive nature, Bergeron is not known to resort to dirty play tactics to gain an advantage.
Beyond his impressive hockey abilities, Bergeron is highly respected for his leadership qualities.
Former NHL enforcer, Zac Rinaldo, who had the opportunity to play alongside Bergeron during the 2015-16 season, speaks highly of him. Rinaldo recently shared on TSN 1050 radio show that Bergeron's leadership goes beyond his skillset on the ice.
He is a player who leads by example and motivates his teammates to work harder, both on and off the ice. This is a quality that is highly valued in team sports, and it is clear why Bergeron has become such a beloved player among fans and teammates alike.

''But it's not just what he does on the ice. It's how he carries himself off the ice. He holds himself to a very high standard. What he preaches, he practices. He leads by example.'
He also shared some information regarding a monster hit Bergeron once received:
''If that's anybody else, they're laying on the ice and playing that up a little bit But he had that pride, he had that leadership where, Nope, I'm getting right back up.' Even if he was seeing stars, he didn't want anybody else to know that, and he got up.''
'That, to me, really showed big leadership on his part, and I was bought in right after that.'
