There's been a lot of controversy surround the most recent 7th overall pick. One of them was a mysterious illness that has been stopping Matvei Michkov from playing with his team. Apparently that's no longer a mystery.
Matvei Mitchkov's Health Condition Has Been Disclosed To The Public
According to reports out of Russia, Michkov has missed several games, and had to be replaced in the KHL's upcoming All-Star game as he deals with a stubborn case of pneumonia.
"Matvei Michkov has missed several games and has now been diagnosed with pneumonia, a lung infection that can range from mild to so severe that you have to go to the hospital.

Michkov has missed 8 games so far. Despite his, he's still having a good season, scoring 11 goals and 26 points in 30 game. Michkov was taken seventh overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the most recent NHL draft. He's signed to a KHL contract that runs out in 2026.
