Petr Cech, the renowned former goalkeeper for Chelsea and Arsenal, recently showcased his passion for hockey by making his professional debut in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL).
Having embraced semi-professional hockey in the UK for several years, the 41-year-old fulfilled a childhood dream by stepping onto the ice with the Belfast Giants. Cech, hailing from Plzen, was loaned to the Giants due to their injury concerns.
In his debut against the Glasgow Clan, Cech entered the game with less than five minutes remaining and made a crucial save, contributing to the Giants' victory.
With an illustrious 20-year career as a goalkeeper in soccer's Premier League, representing powerhouse clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea, Cech boasts four Premier League titles. His soccer journey also includes international success, representing the Czech Republic in the 2006 FIFA World Cup and three UEFA European Championships.
